Abstract / Description

As a core factor influenced with animal health, breeding efficiency, food safety and ecological environment, the management and control level of feed quality directly affects the quality and safety of livestock and poultry products as well as the sustainable development of the breeding industry. With the popularization of large-scale and intensive breeding modes, traditional destructive testing has been difficult to meet the modern feed industry's demand for efficient quality control due to limitations such as long time consumption, high cost and large sample loss. Relying on the core advantages of 'not damaging sample structure, not changing physical and chemical properties, and rapid and accurate analysis', non-destructive testing technology has become a key technical support for the whole-chain quality control of feed covering 'raw material inspection-in-process quality control-finished product sampling inspection'. This paper systematically reviews the principles and characteristics of four commonly used non-destructive testing technologies, namely near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), dielectric spectroscopy (DS), computer vision (CV) and hyperspectral imaging (HI). It analyzes and summarizes the application progress of various technologies in the qualitative and quantitative analysis of nutritional components, dynamic monitoring of fermentation process, identification of adulteration and screening of toxic and harmful components, and looks forward to the development and industrial application of non-destructive testing technology for feed quality, provides reference for intelligent quality control and precise nutrition research in the feed industry.
