Abstract / Description

This study was designed to determine the effect of Actimel milk on the weights of rats and the level of Total cholesterol (TC), Triglycerides (TG), High density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), Low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), Very low density lipoprotein cholesterol (VLDL- C), and the effectiveness of liver enzymes ALT, AST, and ALP in healthy adult male Sprague-Dawley rats suffering from hypercholesterolemia as an experimental model for this study. The rats were distributed into four groups (six rats each): the healthy control (T1), the infected control (T2), the infected and treated with yogurt milk (T3), and the infected and treated with Actimel milk (T4).
