Abstract / Description

Camelina (Camelina sativa L.) is an oilseed crop valued for its nutritional profile and biofuel potential. This study assessed the genetic diversity of 35 doubled haploid (DH) camelina lines based on unsaturated fatty acid composition and key agronomic traits. Substantial genotypic variation was observed for oil content and fatty acids such as stearic, oleic, linoleic, γ‑linolenic, arachidic, eicosenoic, and erucic acids. Among the lines, one exhibited up to 41.90% seed oil content, while others showed high proportions of essential omega‑3 and omega‑6 fatty acids, including linolenic acid (>37%) and linoleic acid (>18%), along with reduced erucic acid (
