Supplementary_Material; Comparison of two physiotherapy protocols based on the Margaret S. Rood method, with and without electrical stimulation, for functional recovery in Bell's palsy

MATLAB script for reproducing the statistical analyses of a randomized pilot study comparing Margaret S. Rood–based physiotherapy protocols with and without electrical stimulation in patients with Bell’s palsy (n = 15). The script includes individual baseline and post-treatment scores for the House–Brackmann, FNGS 2.0, Sunnybrook and Freyss scales. It calculates exact paired and independent-sample permutation tests, Cohen’s dz, Hedges’ g, and approximate 95% Welch confidence intervals for between-group differences in mean improvement. Data are embedded in the script, and results are exported as CSV files. Calculation of confidence intervals requires the MATLAB Statistics and Machine Learning Toolbox.
