Abstract / Description

Abstract Effective management and effective leadership are crucial factors that guarantee success in case of a difficult business environment. Management is defined as a set of activities that include goal setting, coordination of efforts directed towards the achievement of goals, resource distribution, and all other efforts made during the process of supervision of work. Leadership is concerned with the determination of the direction that the company should follow, motivation methods used for making people cooperate, the image of the company’s culture, and all consequences that emerge when using all available means and methods for reaching the goals. Excellence can be obtained due to the proper cooperation of leadership and management, as they help reach success. The paper demonstrates how management and leadership cooperate for getting the desired results with the help of theoretical information provided by literature. Many research studies prove that the performance of an organization depends on transformational leadership both directly and indirectly due to organizational learning, innovations, and company culture creation. According to the Baldrige methodology, visionary leadership, systems thinking, employee engagement, organizational learning, innovations, and ethics are interdependent components of results-oriented companies.
