Abstract / Description
Abstract In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, sustainable economic development has ceased to be merely an option—it has become an essential imperative. Organizations worldwide are grappling with the delicate balance of generating profits while simultaneously safeguarding our environment and contributing meaningfully to society. Yet, despite good intentions, many enterprises find themselves stuck, unable to make this crucial transition. The culprit? An inherent resistance to change that runs deep in organizational cultures. This paper explores the intricate dance among leadership, change management, and innovation, examining how these three forces can converge to propel sustainable economic development. Grounded in Lewin's timeless Three-Stage Change Model—Unfreeze, Change, and Refreeze—we embark on an analytical journey using secondary data from diverse reports and scholarly journals. Our exploration reveals a compelling narrative: strong leadership serves as the catalyst, effective change management provides the roadmap, and innovation emerges as the indispensable tool that transforms sustainability from aspiration to reality. This paper bridges the gap between theory and practice, offering students, researchers, and business managers practical insights they can apply in their respective spheres. As the ancient Sanskrit wisdom reminds us: "वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्" (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam) "The Earth is one family" This timeless principle from the Maha Upanishad resonates profoundly with our contemporary quest for sustainable development, reminding us that our business decisions ripple across this interconnected global family.
